World Health Organization
WCO was admitted into official relations with the WHO by a unanimous decision of the WHO Executive Board, which is composed of 32 Member States. The WCO is the first and only optometric organisation to have this designation.

The recenlty release World Health Organisation (WHO) data indicate that prevalence of visual impairement has been significantly reduced to 285 million. (Dated Feb 2011)
