Strategic Plan
In April 2011, at a General Delegates Meeting held in Puerto Rico, the Standing Committees of WCO (Education; Legislation, Registration & Standards, and Public Health) considered the future direction of WCO and made recommendations to the Governing Board that over the next three years WCO should focus on the five strategic themes set out in the document below.
In October 2011 the Governing Board considered how these themes would be delivered, identifying specific strategic objectives and activities which would help to achieve these objectives over the next three years.
This Strategic Plan is the culmination of six months of consultation and discussion, and reflects the priorities identified by the membership of WCO at the General Delegates Meeting.
I commend this plan to you as a clear map of where WCO hopes to be in three years’ time.
