The 22nd International Congress of Optometry, Contact lenses and Ophthalmic Optics wilbe held from 17 to 19 February 2012. This time, the Congress will use its new name, OPTOM 2012, for the first time, thus betting on a simpler name that also highights teh professional scope of Optometry.
The planning of this congress involves some novelties. It will be organized for the first time by the General Council of the Colleges of Opticians-Optometrists, and it will include 90 papers, 18 monographic courses, 12 clinical courses, 15 sponsored lectures, the exhibition of more than 150 posters and other impressive events which represents a firm commitment to achieve, once more, the most important congress at national level, and one of the most noteworthy events at international level, in the fields of Optometry, Contact Lenses and Ophthalmic Optics.

La cita científico-sanitaria más importante de los profesionales de la Óptica y la Optometría en España.
Entre el 17 y 19 de febrero de 2012 tendrá lugar el 22 Congreso Internacional de Optometría, Contactología y Óptica Oftálmica, que esta edición estrena nueva denominación: OPTOM 2012, apostando así por una denominación más sencilla que pretende, además, enfatizar en el ámbito profesional de la optometría.
Este congreso trae consigo varias novedades en cuanto a su programación que, por primera vez organiza el Consejo General de Colegios de Ópticos-Optometristas, y en el que se desarrollarán 90 comunicaciones orales, 18 cursos monográficos, 12 cursos clínicos, 15 conferencias patrocinadas, exposición de más de 150 pósteres y otros eventos de impacto en una apuesta firme por conseguir que este sea, una vez más, el congreso más importante a nivel nacional y uno de los más destacados a nivel internacional en los campos de la optometría, contactología y óptica oftálmica.
