International Optometrist of the Year 2012
Nominations are invited for our International Optometrist of the Year (IOY) award.
Criteria
The award is given to an optometrist who has shown outstanding commitment to the profession and the community at large.
Serving Governing Board members should not receive an award until they have been off the Board for at least two years.
How to nominate
To nominate someone for the IOY award, please complete this form.
You'll need to write a brief statement for your nomination, and send to WCO along with any supporting documentation.
Submitting your nomination form
You can submit your nomination form by:
- filling out the online nomination form
- emailing the form to enquiries@worldoptometry.org
- faxing the form to +44 20 7839 6800 for the attention of WCO Manager
- posting the form to WCO Manager, 42 Craven Street, London, WC2N 5NG United Kigdom.
Deadline
Please make sure you submit your nomination to WCO by 24 February 2012.
2010 winner
In 2010, the IOY award was awarded posthumously to Dr Tom Little, who was killed in August 2010 whilst leading a humanitarian health mission in Afghanistan.
